Most amazing place. Owned by the most amazing people. Love the wildlife. Love the activities. Love the staff. The scenery is great and the atmosphere is SUPER peaceful. Food is absolutely amazing. Bar is slightly expensive but other than that... this place has to be one of my favourites in harties. Really worth your while. Thanks guys .
Amanzingwe doesn't exist. It is now La Joya. Very very different no more country feel. Upmarket and food rather pricey in comparison to most of the eateries around the dam. Still an enjoyable experience Sat outside and had lunch.Waitress extremely friendly and helpful
So we ended up having a buffet breakfast for my moms birthday at their main restaurant. Starting with a cereal and yogurt, then some pastries that were pretty good. From there we got your regular bacon, sausage, mushrooms, etc. But the best was defiantly the egg station, a delicious omelet. Yum.
A must visit lodge. The food is amazing and the staff are extremely friendly. The rooms themselves are beautiful and you get a sense of the African theme throughout the lodge. Plenty of activities to do around the lodge with the most popular being the amazingwe zip line. Definitely recommend a day visit if you can't stay for a night or two at least. Great experience will definitely go again.
My kids and I have stayed at the lodge a few times. The hotel is a great venue for a weekend getaway to the magaliesberg. Many of the rooms are set in areas which have great views of the wildlife, bush and surrounding mountains. Rooms are clean. The main hotel is very nice and has a great country feel. A nice bar lounge area and a restaurant with fairly priced meals for adults and kids. Kids enjoy the play area and swimming pools. Staff get to know you personally and remember you when you return. A very friendly hotel at good prices.
We went the for our mini honeymoon trip. The staff were absolutely friendly, we also got to meet the owner of the place and he took particular interest in knowing us and why we had chosen to come there. We found him to be a very receptive man and always passionate about improving things there to the benefit of the customer. They showered us with food platters for free, fruits, and drinks. We ended up extending our stay by an extra 3 days. I would recommend you choose room 6 with a Jacuzzi in it. There are so many positives about this place, I wouldn't finish if I start.
